Will it create international success for Alessandra? I doubt it. Singaporean movies are hardly creating buzz in the international market. I've seen some and they were quite great. They were "Chicken Rice War" and "I Not Stupid." Maybe in time they would get the recognition they deserve. As much as we do! ;-)
Well, quality over quantity ba ang issue? Yes, we did have a lot of movies during the '80s, but wasn't half of it Mother Lily-produced movies with Manilyn, Janno, and the rest of them running in the beaches and singing to Shake, body body dancer?
Tama ka jan! For me, OK na rin na kahit konti lang ang Filipino movies, mas dekalidad. But then, marami ring tao na nagtatrabaho sa movie industry ang nawawalan ng trabaho kung kokonti lang movies na pinoproduce.
